Energy Efficient
SIP (structural insulated panels) are one of the most airtight and well insulated building systems available, making them an inherently green product. An airtight SIP building will use less energy to heat and cool, allow for better control over indoor environmental conditions and reduce construction waste.
- OSB (oriented strand board) takes less energy and raw materials to produce than other building systems.
- EPS is a lightweight insulation composed of mostly air and 2% plastic and scraps can be recycled into new
products.
Indoor Air Quality
- Allows for better control over indoor air quality because the airtight building envelope limits incoming air to controlled ventilation.
- EPS is Greenguard Certified by NAHB.
- OSB is low VOC and does not use urea-formaldehyde adhesives, meeting the US HUD Manufactured Housing Standard and California Air Resource Board Air Toxic Control Measure for Composite Wood Products.
LEED Certification
